ColorX Hitachi CardTech/SecurTech
ColorX Corporation's first entry into the ID Card Printer industry, the C9610

Card Printer, was a big winner at CardTech/SecurTech in Chicago May 12-

14. The industry's first card printer with ribbon saving features was

exceptionally well received by dealers, end-users, systems integrators, and

even drew the attention of the competition.

According to ColorX President Suresh Paranjpe, "People were making special

effort to come see how our printer can save 50% on the cost of ribbon."

Continued Paranjpe, "the cost of ribbon is the most expensive part of

producing an ID card, and our C9610 is the first printer to offer the capability

of producing 2 cards from one set of ribbon panels saving the user countless

dollars, while also reducing down time caused by replacing ribbon spools as

frequently." The C9610 has the industries largest ribbon spool (400 panels)

and when in ribbon saving mode can produce 800 cards with one ribbon

spool. Competitor printers can produce a maximum of only 250 cards per

ribbon spool, and at twice the cost per card because they have no ribbon

saving feature.

"I think you know you've caught the industries attention when you hear the

competition talking about your product and recognizing you offer something

they don't", said Jim Breitbarth, ColorX VP of U.S. Sales. "What's more",

according to Breitbarth, "our high-end C9610 printer will outperform and

outlive anything the competition has to offer." "A great show for ColorX",

concluded Breitbarth.
