Patented Ribbon Saving Feature
ID Card printers incorporate ink ribbon panels and during printing,

ink from the panel is transferred to the card to form an image. The

area of a panel used for such transfer is equal to the area of the color

image. For instance, if the color image is half the size of the card,

then only a half portion of the panel is "used" and the remaining half

panel remains unused. Normally, after a card is printed, this unused

portion of the panel is wasted and is not available for printing the next

card. The ColorX C9610 Printer uses patented technology, which

enables use of the unused portion of the panel to print another card.

Therefore, the cost of printing can be significantly lower. This novel

RibbonMiser™ technology can not only save up to 50% of printing

costs, but also reduces wastage and thus saves on natural resources.
